A perfume and skincare shop that sells while she sleeps.
Laila Beautiful carries fragrance and skincare in Boston: designer and Arabic perfumes for men, women and unisex, gift sets, and a skincare line. We designed and set up a Shopify store that shows the range properly, loads fast on a phone, and takes the order without a conversation.
The business and the need
A real catalogue, a Spanish-speaking owner, and orders arriving by message.
Laila curates fragrances from many brands rather than making her own, so the store had to present a large, changing catalogue clearly, in Spanish, and let a customer buy from a phone without asking her first.
What we designed
A Shopify theme customised to her brand rather than installed and left alone: white with her hot-pink accent, her logo prepared as a clean transparent version, and a homepage that runs hero, brand belt, featured collections, a gift-sets banner, a trust strip, best sellers, an editorial band, reviews, newsletter and FAQ.
What we set up
Collections that populate themselves from product tags: women’s, men’s and unisex fragrances, Arabic and designer lines, gift sets, and a budget shelf. Product titles, descriptions and the shipping, returns and terms pages are in Spanish, the language she and her customers use. A product filter app helps people narrow a large range.
Pages
Home, collection pages, product pages, cart and checkout through Shopify, search, contact, and the policy pages. Products were renamed, tagged and photographed consistently so the catalogue reads as one shop.
Mobile and desktop
The mobile hero was re-worked with a darker overlay so the white copy stays readable over photography, and the collection tiles run two across on a phone. The desktop layout widens the same content rather than being a separate design.
After launch we walked her through the store on a call: adding a product, changing a price, reading an order. Her words on that are below.
